Introduction
Welcome to Amazonomics. Your privacy is critically important to us.
Amazonomics ("Amazonomics," "we," "us," or "our") is a United States-based company that operates the website [https://amazonomics.com] and provides an Amazon keyword tracking and research tool, including related dashboards, APIs, a built-in AI prompt tool, and associated services (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, protect, and disclose information when you visit our website, register for an account, or otherwise use the Service. It also describes the choices and rights you have regarding your personal data.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the practices described herein. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given to them in our Terms of Service.

2. What Information We Collect
We collect information from you in two ways: (a) information you provide directly, and (b) information collected automatically when you use the Service.
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you register, subscribe, place an order, contact support, or otherwise interact with the Service, we may collect:
- Account information: first name, last name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), profile picture, and username.
- Billing information: billing address, country, postal code, VAT/Tax ID, business name (where applicable). Credit and debit card details are collected and processed directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processors and are not stored on our servers.
- Communication data: the content of messages, emails, support tickets, live chat conversations, and survey responses you send to us.
- Marketplace preferences: the Amazon marketplaces (e.g., amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de) you wish to track, your product categories of interest, and the keywords, ASINs, or competitor listings you choose to track.
- Optional Amazon integration: if you choose to connect your Amazon Seller Central account through our authorized integration, we will receive the data scopes you authorize, used solely to provide you with the requested analytics.
- AI Tool inputs: when you use the built-in AI prompt tool, we collect the prompts, instructions, attached content, and other inputs you submit, along with the outputs returned to you and metadata about your interaction with the AI Tool (see Section 7 for details).
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Service, we automatically collect:

- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 5 below.
2.3 Amazon Marketplace Data
The Service collects, aggregates, and analyzes publicly available data from Amazon marketplaces. This data is generally not Personal Data, but in some cases may include the names of sellers or brands publicly listed on Amazon. We process this information to provide keyword research, search volume estimates, ranking history, competitor analysis, and related analytics features. We do not access non-public Amazon Seller Central data unless you explicitly connect your Seller Central account.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service, including authenticating your account, processing your queries, and delivering keyword tracking, search volume data, ranking history, and reports.
- To process transactions and manage subscriptions, renewals, refunds, and invoicing.
- To communicate with you, including sending account notifications, transactional emails, security alerts, product updates, and responses to your support inquiries.
- To send marketing communications, such as newsletters, special offers, and information about new features, where permitted by law and subject to your right to opt out at any time.
- To personalize your experience, including remembering your preferred marketplace, language, default views, and saved keyword lists.
- To analyze and improve the Service, including monitoring performance, understanding usage patterns, conducting research, debugging, and developing new features.
- To operate and improve the AI Tool, including processing your prompts to deliver outputs, enforcing usage limits, monitoring for abuse, and using prompts, outputs, and interaction metadata as feedback to understand which features and prompts are most used and to guide future improvements to the Service and user interface (see Section 7).
- To detect, prevent, and address security incidents, fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service, including rate limit enforcement and protection against automated scraping of the Service itself.
- To comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, enforce our agreements, and protect the rights, property, or safety of Amazonomics, our users, or others.
- To carry out any other purpose described to you at the time the information was collected, or for any other purpose with your consent.
3.1 Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process Personal Data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the Service you requested and process payments.
- Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve the Service, conduct analytics, and market similar products to existing customers, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: for non-essential cookies, certain marketing communications, and any other processing where we ask for it. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting, anti-fraud, and other legal requirements.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your Personal Data, and we will never sell your Personal Data to anyone. We share information only in the limited circumstances described below.
4.1 Legal and Regulatory Disclosures
We may disclose your Personal Data if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request (such as a subpoena, court order, or search warrant);
- enforce our Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations;
- detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues;
- protect the rights, property, or safety of Amazonomics, our users, or others.
4.2 Business Transfers
If Amazonomics is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you (for example, via email or a prominent notice on our website) of any change in ownership or use of your Personal Data, as well as any choices you may have regarding your Personal Data.
4.3 With Your Consent
We may share your information for any other purpose disclosed to you and with your consent.
4.4 Aggregated and De-Identified Data
We may share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data (for example, aggregate keyword search trends or category-level statistics) that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. This data may be used for industry reports, marketing, research, or product improvement.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons, pixels, and local storage) to operate the Service, analyze usage, remember preferences, and serve relevant advertising.
5.1 Types of Cookies We Use
- Strictly necessary cookies: required for the Service to function (for example, authentication, session management, security, and load balancing). These cannot be disabled.
- Preference cookies: remember your choices, such as language, default marketplace, and dashboard layout.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand how users interact with the Service so we can improve it.
- Advertising cookies: used by us and our advertising partners to deliver relevant ads, measure ad performance, and conduct remarketing on third-party platforms.
5.2 Managing Cookies
You can manage cookie preferences at any time through our cookie banner or by adjusting your browser settings to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable cookies, some portions of the Service may not function properly.
5.3 Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry consensus on how to interpret DNT signals, we currently do not respond to them. You can still control tracking through the cookie controls described above and through opt-out tools provided by our advertising partners.
5.4 Behavioral Remarketing
We use remarketing services to advertise on third-party websites after you have visited the Service. You can opt out of personalized advertising through the following resources:
- Google Ads: https://www.google.com/settings/ads
- Microsoft Advertising: https://about.ads.microsoft.com/en-us/resources/policies/personalized-ads
- Meta (Facebook): https://www.facebook.com/help/568137493302217
- Digital Advertising Alliance (US): https://www.aboutads.info/choices/
- Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada: https://youradchoices.ca/
- European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/
6. Relationship with Amazon
Amazonomics is an independent third-party tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries. All Amazon-related trademarks are the property of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
Our keyword data is derived from publicly available information and proprietary modeling. If you choose to connect your Amazon Seller Central account through an authorized integration, we will access only the data scopes you authorize, will use that data only to provide you with the requested analytics, and will not share that data with third parties except as required by Amazon's developer policies and applicable law. You may revoke access to your Amazon account at any time through your Amazon account settings or by contacting us.
7. AI Prompt Tool
The Service includes a built-in AI prompt tool ("AI Tool") that allows you to submit prompts and receive AI-generated outputs to assist with tasks such as keyword brainstorming, listing copy, and analytical summaries. This section explains how we handle Prompt Data and the rules that govern your use of the AI Tool.
7.1 What We Collect from the AI Tool
When you use the AI Tool, we collect and process:
- the prompts, instructions, and any content you attach or paste into the AI Tool;
- the outputs generated by the AI Tool in response to your prompts;
- interaction metadata such as timestamps, token or character counts, model version used, response latency, the feature or workflow you used the AI Tool from, and any feedback signals you provide (such as thumbs-up/down ratings, edits, regenerations, or copy actions);
- error reports and diagnostic data related to AI Tool performance.
7.2 Usage Limits
Use of the AI Tool is subject to usage limits that we set and may adjust at our sole discretion. These limits may include caps on the number of prompts, tokens, characters, requests per minute, monthly quotas, or feature-specific allowances, and may differ by subscription tier, account type, or individual account.
We reserve the right to:
- establish, modify, increase, reduce, or remove usage limits at any time, with or without prior notice;
- apply different limits to different users, plans, or use cases;
- temporarily or permanently throttle, suspend, or restrict access to the AI Tool to protect Service stability, manage infrastructure costs, prevent abuse, comply with the requirements of any AI model provider, or address suspected violations of our Terms of Service;
- enforce limits through automated means.
Where reasonably possible, we will notify you of material limit changes through the Service interface, email, or our changelog.
7.3 Use of Prompt Data to Improve the Service
You acknowledge and agree that we may use Prompt Data — including the content of your prompts, the outputs generated, and your interactions with the AI Tool — for the following purposes:
- to deliver the requested output to you;
- to operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and secure the AI Tool;
- to enforce usage limits and detect abuse, prompt-injection attempts, or misuse;
- to understand which features of the AI Tool are most used, which prompts are most common, and where users encounter friction;
- to inform product roadmap decisions, prioritize new features, and improve the user interface, workflows, and overall user experience of the Service;
- to refine the in-product prompt templates, suggestions, and help content we offer to users;
- to generate aggregated or de-identified analytics about how the AI Tool is used.
We use Prompt Data strictly to operate the AI Tool and improve the Service and user experience. We will not sell Prompt Data, and we will not use the content of your prompts to publicly market or promote the Service in a way that is attributable to you without your consent.
7.4 No Model Training
We do not train, fine-tune, or develop any artificial intelligence or machine learning models using your Prompt Data. Amazonomics does not build or operate its own AI models, and we do not authorize our AI model provider to train its models on your Prompt Data (see Section 7.5).
The "improvement" use of Prompt Data described in Section 7.3 is limited to human product decisions — for example, reviewing which features are popular, identifying common prompt patterns to inform new templates, and improving the user interface. It does not involve training, tuning, or optimizing any AI model.
7.5 AI Model Provider (Anthropic)
The AI Tool is powered by large language models provided by Anthropic, PBC ("Anthropic"), the maker of the Claude family of AI models. When you submit a prompt to the AI Tool, your prompt and any necessary context are transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate a response, which is then returned to you through the Service.
Our use of Anthropic's API is governed by Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Under Anthropic's commercial terms:
- Anthropic does not train its models on inputs or outputs submitted through its API by commercial customers such as Amazonomics;
- Anthropic processes API data as a service provider on our behalf, subject to confidentiality and security obligations;
- Anthropic applies limited retention to API traffic for trust, safety, and abuse-prevention purposes, after which it is deleted.
You can review Anthropic's privacy practices at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy and its commercial terms at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/commercial-terms.
If we change our AI model provider in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
7.6 Important Notice About AI Outputs
The AI Tool is provided as an assistive feature. AI-generated outputs:
- may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or out of date;
- should be reviewed by you before being relied upon for business decisions, published, or submitted to Amazon or any third party;
- do not constitute professional, legal, financial, or compliance advice;
- may produce similar or identical outputs for different users submitting similar prompts, and we make no claim of exclusivity or originality for AI-generated content.
You are solely responsible for how you use AI outputs, including ensuring that any content you publish (such as listing copy submitted to Amazon) complies with applicable laws, Amazon's policies, and any third-party rights.
7.7 What You Should Not Submit
To protect your privacy and the privacy of others, you must not submit the following to the AI Tool:
- sensitive personal data of yourself or others (such as government identifiers, financial account numbers, health information, or login credentials);
- information you are not authorized to share (such as third-party confidential information or trade secrets);
- content that violates our Terms of Service, applicable law, or the policies of any AI model provider we use.
We may automatically scan prompts for safety, abuse, or policy violations and may block, log, or report prompts that appear to violate these restrictions.
7.8 Retention of Prompt Data
We retain Prompt Data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this section. Default retention periods are described in Section 9 (Data Retention). Where you delete a prompt, conversation, or your account, we will delete or de-identify the associated Prompt Data within a reasonable period, subject to backup cycles, abuse-prevention requirements, and any applicable legal obligations.
8. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Measures include:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS (HTTPS).
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest.
- Access controls and the principle of least privilege.
- Hashing and salting of passwords.
- Regular security scans, vulnerability monitoring, and patch management.
- Network firewalls, isolated environments, and intrusion detection.
- Employee training and confidentiality obligations.
All payment transactions are processed by PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
Despite our efforts, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your Personal Data, we will notify you without undue delay and in accordance with applicable law, and will use our best efforts to mitigate the impact.
9. Data Retention
We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including providing the Service, complying with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements.
- Account data is retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period after account closure (typically up to 90 days) before deletion or anonymization, except where longer retention is required by law (for example, tax records).
- Transaction and billing records are retained for the period required by applicable tax, accounting, and anti-fraud laws (typically 7 years).
- Usage and log data is retained for a shorter period for security and analytics purposes, typically up to 24 months.
- Marketing preferences are retained until you withdraw consent or for as long as necessary to honor your opt-out.
- Aggregated or anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.
- Prompt Data from the AI Tool is retained for the period needed to deliver outputs, enforce usage limits, monitor for abuse, and improve the AI Tool. Conversation histories visible to you in your account are retained for the life of your account (or until you delete them); underlying logs may be retained for a shorter period, typically up to 24 months, after which they are deleted or de-identified.
When data is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymize it.
10. International Data Transfers
Amazonomics is based in the United States, and your information will be processed and stored on servers located in the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
When we transfer Personal Data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to the United States, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, supplementary measures where appropriate, and where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
By using the Service or providing us with your information, you consent to these transfers.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your Personal Data. We honor these rights regardless of where you are located, to the extent reasonably possible.

- Correct inaccurate Personal Data.
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your Personal Data, as those terms are defined under applicable state law. Amazonomics does not sell Personal Data for monetary consideration. To the extent that the use of advertising cookies constitutes "sharing" under California law (CCPA/CPRA) or comparable laws, you may opt out via our cookie preferences tool.
- Limit the use of sensitive Personal Information.
- Appeal a denial of your privacy request, where applicable.
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

You will not be charged a fee for reasonable requests, and you will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. If we are unable to fulfill your request, we will explain why.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from, individuals under the age of 16 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, including age 13 under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us at privacy@amazonomics.com. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party before providing them with your information.
15. Automated Decision-Making
We do not use Personal Data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on you without human involvement. The Service's analytics, recommendations, and AI Tool outputs (such as keyword opportunity scores and AI-generated suggestions) are intended as informational tools to support your own decision-making.
